play, teach, and demonstrate Friday and Saturday:
There will be many jam sessions. Vendors,
luthiers and collectors will be present.
All about the banjo, from its African roots,
through the minstrel era, rural Old Time banjo,
the banjo in Ireland, the urban classic fingerstyle
era, plectral jazz (tenor and plectrum), bluegrass
music, the folk era, cutting edge progressive
music from new acoustic music to jazz, and
genuine classical music. Our event promises to
excel in hospitality, with the Doubletree’s superb
food and accommodations.
